How to Backup ezAccounting Database File
With ezAccounting software, you can back up data easily. ezAccounting software is the easy-to-use and affordable accounting software designed for small businesses. Here are the two options that you can backup data.
If you are small business owner, refer to option 1
If you are a CPA with many client accounts, refer to option 2
Option 1: Use the database backup feature inside ezAccounting software
You can start ezAccounting, click the top menu "Company" then "backup to backup your data easily. We would like to suggest you backup data to USB disk, external hard drive, shared folder and other location regularly for safety. So if your local machine is crashed, you can restore your data on a new machine quickly.
Option 2: Backup database files manually
If you are a CPA and have many client accounts, it will be faster to back up accounting software data manually or with some data backup software.
The default folder for ezAccounting is
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Halfpricesoft\ezAccounting
The database files are .mdb (Microsft Access database) files. You can backup all the .mdb files manually.
The ezAccounting backup database file is .mdb file. This file is encrypted. You should open this file with ezAccounting restore function. You should NOT open this file manually or with other applications.
