ez1099 Software FAQs: How to Restore Tax Form Data
ez1099 software makes it easy to
backup data and restore data. With ez1099 software, cusotmers can restore tax data easily if their machine is crashed.
ez1099 database backup file is .mdb file. you should NOT open this backup file manually or with Microsoft Access. Please follow the steps below to restore your data.
There are two options to back up data:
1. Option 1: For business employers and HR managers 2. Option 2: For CPAs who have multiple client accounts Option 1: For small business Employers and HR managers
1.1 Restore Data
Start ez1099 software, click the top menu Company -> Restore company". Then select the backup company database file from the flash disk or external hard driver or cloud storage space.
1.2 Switch Current Account
Start ez1099 software, select this new database file as your current database file by clicking the top menu "Company->Select Company".
Option 2: For CPAs who have multiple client accounts
2.1 Copy Data Files
Copy the backup data files (.mdb files) from a flash disk or external hard driver or cloud storage space.
2.2 Paste the files to ez1099 data folder.
The default data folder is:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Halfpricesoft\ez1099(20xx)
ie: for ez1099 2015, it is ez1099(2015)
2.3 Switch Current Account
Start ez1099 software, select this new database file as your current database file by clicking the top menu "Company->Select Company".
