ezCheckPrinting Troubleshooting: Database Access Issue

Errors

Database access issue or database path issue

Reasons:

1. The database path is messed up because of Windows updates or other issue.

2. You do not have the permission to access the shared data folder if you are using multiple-user version.


Solution 1: Reset the settings file

1.1. Open the data folder
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Halfpricesoft\ezCheckPrinting

1.2. Remove the file "settings.xml"

delete settings file

1.3. Start ezCheckPrinting and enter the license

1.4. Switch the current account if needed

select account menu




1.5. If you still see this issue, please check the permission settings.

The current log in user must have full control permisison to run ezCheckPrinting and access the data.

Solution 2: Log in as administrator and reinstall ezCheckPrinting from scratch

If Solution 1 cannot solve this issue, we recommend reinstalling ezCheckPrinting from scratch. When reinstalling, please choose the option to install the software for "Everyone". This will help prevent any potential permission-related issues.
